Zimbabwe is one of the most vulnerable countries in the world in terms of food insecurity. Our partner there has been working with the Zimbabwean Government to
help supply food to some of those most at risk. Food sent from overseas is still getting into the country; the Government has given special dispensation to Feed The Hungry so that the process is quicker and cheaper.
Feed The Hungry was able to minister to people in the community of Epworth.
It is one of the most poverty stricken areas of Harare. The team in Zimbabwe was able to distribute 1,320 cases of rice meals and impacted 5,280 people who were in need. There was prayer, worship, and preaching during the times of distribution and many people gave their hearts to Jesus.
Elna Mukamuri is our ministry partner in Zimbabwe and overseas the feeding of 16,000 children through our ECED programs when schools are open.
Zimbabwe is currently still under lockdown.
