Ben Evans (CEO) and Courageous Musasa: The hug after promising to find beds for her children.
At just ten years old, Courageous Musasa lost her parents and was left to survive on the streets with her siblings. “We lived like animals just to survive,” she recalls. Then an orphanage welcomed them in. “They gave us food and the Gospel — and made us feel human again.”
Today, Courageous is giving that same hope to others. In Blantyre, Malawi, she now cares for more than 90 vulnerable children, surrounding them with the love, safety, and nourishment she once longed for herself.
Because of your generosity, these children receive nutritious daily meals through Feed The Hungry, giving them the strength to learn, grow, and dream again. The transformation is remarkable: where only 46% of students once passed their exams, today 96% are succeeding.
Thanks to supporters like you, children who once faced hunger, fear, and uncertainty are now discovering hope, dignity, and the promise of a brighter future.

Life in Malawi
Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world (174th of 189 countries). It’s very difficult to access clean water, sanitation and health care. Over half the population live in poverty and one-fifth in extreme poverty. One million children are without parents due to AIDS, Covid and poverty. 80% of the population are trapped in subsistent agriculture.
Project: Beds for Courageous
When Ben visited Mama Courageous, she showed Ben the orphanage she had built – a place of love, safety and belonging. But many of the children were sleeping on a hard, cold concrete floor. They didn’t complain, they were simply grateful to be safe.
Love has built this home, but now but now these children need comfort. Thanks to your generosity beds, mattresses and sheet sets have been delivered to the orphanage in response to our call for help.

Project update!
All 98 beds, mattresses and linen sets needed for the children at Mama Courageous’ orphanage to sleep comfortably have now been purchased. Thank you for your kind generosity!
