You are part of what’s right in this world! In the midst of war, distress and unspeakable poverty, acts of kindness are a game changer. As part of the Feed The Hungry family, you know this firsthand.
History shows that even one small child saved from starvation can grow up to make a monumental impact. Consider modern examples like Paul Kagame, the long-standing President of Rwanda, who grew up as a refugee child in Uganda. Or Nelson Mandela, who was the first in his family to get a formal education because a Methodist missionary opened a school in the Transkei countryside.
Friends, because you share your time, talents and treasures to benefit others, you are optimists. The very act of giving conveys an underlying belief that something good can be borne out of necessity. Our heavenly Father believes this too,
“This is how much God loved the world, He gave His one and only Son so that no one need be destroyed; but by believing in Him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. He came to put the world right again.” John 3:16-17a (MSG)
The smiling faces of 658,434 boys and girls across 25 nations who get a nutritious meal, day after day, tell us that while there is always need in this world, there are generous people filled with God’s love to stand in the gap.
Thank you for being a big part of what’s right in this world!
Today children in refugee camps, widows in Nicaragua, the elderly in Ukraine and thousands more from all walks of life give thanks for the aid sent and the Gospel shared because of you.
I’m grateful knowing our mission to feed the hungry, empower the church n share the hope that comes through Jesus Christ continues because you want to make an eternal difference.
Thank you for always being mindful of “the least of these” – the overlooked, the ignored, the invisible. You are reaching them with good food and the Gospel so all may truly “taste and see that the Lord is good”. Your prayers, enthusiasm and generosity keep us moving forward, expanding to even more remote and forgotten regions of the world.
May God bless you a thousand times over for being so kind,
Stefan Radelich
