Malawi

Ben was recently introduced to a young boy in our feeding program in Malawi. His name was Peace. At just 2 years old he was found sleeping under a bridge with his older brother, aged only 3. Toddlers living on the street is unimaginable to us.

Life changed for the better for Peace and his brother Comfort, now aged 4 and 5. They were taken in by Courageous Musasa, who runs an orphanage with 98 children. She herself had been homeless at just 10 years old. Now she brings hope and love to other street children in Malawi.

“No children want to live on the street. I know that I don’t have enough things here at Courageous Place, but I have love. Children only need love and food and home,” says Mama Courageous.

Lebanon

“You can live without food for a week, without water for a day but you can’t live a minute without hope,” says Pastor Said from Beirut Life Centre. Pastor Said has worked with Feed The Hungry for 15 years, sharing the love of Christ in both word and action.

Life Centre Beirut is a Christian community centre located in the heart of Bourj Hammoud, where people who have been displaced due to the conflict in Lebanon can be supported. With donor support from Feed The Hungry, they are able to provide 250 hot meals every day.

Programs have been created to practically help women and children who have fled from the South and the West. The refugee children, from mixed faith backgrounds, are warmly accepted into the centre which also offers accommodation, sometimes with up to five families living in one room.

“We create a fun environment and share Bible stories with them,” says Pastor Said, giving them not just shelter but love and safety. “We thank you so much for your prayers and your support.”
