Our goal was to feed 120,000 children for Take Away Hunger Day 2024.

Guess what? Not only did we meet our goal, we surpassed it!

In a united effort across the country, we have fed 168,018 refugee children in Uganda for a whole month!

A giant thank you to the Christian media community for coming together for such an important mission to feed the hungry, to our partners who helped organise the day, to our friends at the radio stations who hosted Take Away Hunger Day, and their listeners who joined the effort!

Hi I’m Daniel and I asked mum if I can donate my pocket money to support 2 children. I’m 10 years old. My family donated as well but this is just from me because I wanted to do more to help.

I just came back myself from missionary work, have seen first hand how kids suffer, broke my heart. Keep up the good work in His mighty name.

May this be a small piece to the large tapestry to ending hunger all over the world, for there has always been enough. Let the light of Christ please increase my humble 5 loaves and 2 fish. God bless the children who are very close to God’s heart.

Over the last 2 weekends we have sold lemons, mandarins and white choc cranberry cookies to our neighbours to raise the funds for this donation. We are so blessed to live in a safe place and be able to help and share what we have with others – Aiden (10yrs) and Hudson (8yrs)

I am 16 years old and this is my second year giving to this cause because I can’t imagine being my age and not having access to food every day. Thank you for making this an opportunity.

Hearing the testimonies of those children today, it was very emotional. I had to give. We are so blessed in Australia, even in these times, compared to other countries. I thank God for the workers that help these children. Real heroes.

I have been homeless with my children and we have experienced hunger and as a parent and not being able to buy food for my children. Seeing them going without is the most heartbreaking experience I have ever lived through and experienced in my life. I am donating today to give a hand up to these precious souls who need our support, love and prayers.

May we be the hands and feet of Jesus to help these precious children…to think that children go without food should break our hearts. I am thankful that you have highlighted this wonderful opportunity that we have to support and give…to make change and show love! Thanks for giving us the opportunity to give!

While Take Away Hunger Day is over this year, hunger is still a problem for refugee children in Uganda.

You can make sure they receive a nutritious meal for a whole month.
