Country spotlight of Uganda, a sneak peak behind the scenes and info about how we fed over 168,000 children!
More than a meal… providing a future!
I’m excited to enclose your copy of the Feed The Hungry quarterly newsletter, with great insight into your impact through Take Away Hunger Day 2024 held recently on 22nd August 2024.
My prayerful hope was to feed 120,000 hungry refugee children for an entire month. It was an ambitious stretch of faith, but when it comes to hungry children we wanted to be as courageous as possible.
I am very excited to let you know the total number of children fed was actually 168,018!
I am incredibly grateful to you and the entire Christian radio community who rallied together to feed vulnerable children. Because your support is providing more than a meal to these hungry children…
Hot and nutritious meals give children a good diet to grow and develop well. Those same meals provided in a school environment give children access to good education. With the capacity to concentrate and learn — they can get good grades; seek good jobs; unlock good futures.
And most important of all… local Christian ministries, churches and friends like Pastor Solomon Mwesige stand ready to share the good news with thousands of children, encouraging them that Jesus loves them.
Put simply, your acts of kindness are feeding the hungry: body soul & spirit. That sounds like a full life, and that feels pretty good to me!
So, on behalf of the 168,018 children fed through your generosity, I want to express my sincere appreciation. This wonderful partnership wouldn’t be possible without the support of friends like you.
Thank you for helping to ensure that so many hungry children would be fed in Jesus’ name!
