The Honduras struggle, Myanmar refugee crisis, Haiti earthquake relief, and the hungry in Zimbabwe. In addition, a eulogy for Pastor Stanley, a long-term partner, and our Annual Report 2020.
Check out our Annual Report for an overview of our work last year!
The good kind of religion is the one that takes care of widows and orphans.
I recently got one of those phone calls no one expects. One of our dear partners in the Every Child Every Day program passed away suddenly from COVID-19. Pastor Stanley was not just a partner to Feed The Hungry, he was a wonderful friend and a great inspiration. Why he was called home when so much work remains to be done is beyond our understanding. However, we go forward in faith, knowing that God will provide the means and the people to carry on Pastor Stanley’s mission.
Feed The Hungry is no stranger to unexpected events. Hurricanes, earthquakes, civil wars, even pandemics — there’s no timeline for these, no schedules. When they happen, God gives us what we need to care for those who have lost everything and help them as they rebuild their lives. His timing is always perfect, especially as He works through you.
I’m glad to tell you that even during COVID shutdowns, our teams are still able to deliver the food you supply to the people who need it most.
First priority are the children we commit to feeding every day. Then the vulnerable elderly and families of eight to ten orphan children headed by young teens.
COVID and other diseases are taking many lives. Savings are spent on food to stay alive during the shutdowns. But with your help, we are feeding many. Relationships are growing — and the Church is growing. We are seeing people all over become more responsive to the Gospel because of your generosity.
The Church is growing in these very troubled times…
Friends like you are a great comfort during these uncertain times. Ever since the start of the pandemic, you have shown incredible faithfulness to the mission of Feed The Hungry. I can say, with all confidence, that your generous support saved many thousands of lives all over the world.
No matter what happens in the months and years ahead, God will make a way for us to serve those in need. Even in Afghanistan, where the door was shut so soon after being opened, aid is getting through. We can always count on our Father’s love and providence. And we can count on you. Thank you.
Because a full life feels good,
