Orphans in Malawi

Malawi is also one of the poorest countries in the world, with 80% of the population stuck in subsistent agriculture. This means they can barely grow enough food to feed themselves—there is not nearly enough to sell for them to purchase the most basic and necessary household items.

Farmers across Malawi are susceptible to extreme weather events like drought and floods, but the leading cause of death is AIDs related. It is estimated that 1.5 million people in Malawi—around 7% of the population—are HIV positive.

That makes a great difference for children in Malawi, especially for orphan children. AIDS, Covid and poverty have left more than one million children without parents. Normally, they live homeless on the streets or earn their daily food from working in the fields. There is no time for school.

I’m asking you to prayerfully consider making a special gift today to help the innocent children of Malawi by providing a hot and nutritious meal. As always, the food you send goes directly to our local church and missionary friends who ensure it gets to those who really need it, like Courageous and her children.

Their best hope is for children to grow up with an education and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Most of them—80%—are already Christian. You can help build their country strong.
