To some, it’s just a playground.
To the children in our Every Child Every Day feeding program, it’s a place to encounter Christ.
In February, teams installed playgrounds for key ministry centers at the Doutt’s ministry base near Managua and outside the Esteli dump at Casa de Vida.
The equipment was refurbished by our friends at Kids Around the World. Life Church Pennsylvania provided funds to purchase the playground in Nicaragua and sent a building team.
Feed The Hungry shipped the structures and equipment to our base in Nicaragua, which provided workers and ground support.
In the years to come, thousands of children will experience fun, fellowship and friendship here.
As I saw these playgrounds rise from the ground, I remembered how children have testified that “Jesus showed up” when they left their slums and barrios and attended camp.
I expect that will happen here as well, in a powerful way!
