A friend of Ward’s met Chuck Strantz in a divinely orchestrated path crossing at a time when their ministry was searching for a partner to help bring food into Zambia.

Zambia was coming out of a two year drought when Covid-19 hit. Because the country is landlocked, the supply chain into Zambia was shut down. The food that was provided to Ward and his ministry made a critical difference in being able to feed the children in the schools and rescue programs they work in.

Ward’s long-term goal is to see the children they are reaching lift themselves and their families out of extreme poverty, impact their communities and country, and ultimately go beyond the borders of Zambia, sharing the life changing Gospel of Christ.

One of the most impactful moments in Ward’s ministry is watching the rescued become the rescuer.

One of the men they have ministered to is Haward, who survived eight years in the deep jungles. He was brought into the ministry on “accident” but went on to complete his education and rescue his mother and siblings from a remote part of Zambia. He now works as the Director of Operations and has started his own program where 16 young men, who would otherwise be on the street, are involved in Bible studies and learning to share the Gospel.

Ward struggles to fulfill the need for more classrooms, teachers, and educational resources in the places they work in Zambia.

If food and God’s word was plentiful, the ministry could grow from 5,000 children to 50,000 just in the areas they are currently working. On top of that, the impact those children have on their families and communities would reach much further than it does now.
