Our goal for Take Away Hunger Day on 24 August 2023 was to feed 100,000 children. By 6pm we had reached our goal. By midnight we had well exceeded it. And by year end, through your generous giving and the support of Christian radio across Australia…

It’s easy to get caught up in our first-world problems and forget that over 800 million people in the world today do not have enough food to eat. It is a big problem, but a problem that together we can address.
Christian Radio amplifies the opportunity to share the plight of others less fortunate than us, creating a simple resolution. For every $6 raised on Take Away Hunger Day, a hungry refugee child will be fed for an entire month. And it’s not just taking hunger away, but also encouraging education and a chance to know the love of Jesus.
Through Take Away Hunger Day in 2023… listeners and stations joined forces to offer more than a just a meal, but a healthy future. This is just the first year of a 3-year partnership with Christian Media & Arts Australia. Thank you partner stations and faithful donors for your support!

A story from Uganda
Stella travelled to Uganda in the boot of a car, escaping Sudan after her mother was killed. At her school in a Ugandan refugee camp, 15-year-old Stella says that food support makes a big difference for children like her. But, she says, they need more food.
