More than 140,000 children fed!
We’re excited to announce that more than 140,000 hungry refugee children in Uganda will be fed thanks to Take Away Hunger Day last Thursday! An amazing achievement made possible by donors like you and Christian radio across Australia.
Take Away Hunger Day may have passed, but there is still time to give. Many children like Isaac need nourishing meals every day to focus on their school lessons and you can help today.
Your generosity will help provide hot fortified rice meals filled with the nutrition growing bodies need. These meals are prepared by volunteers — local church women — in enormous pots over open fires.
“You don’t truly understand hunger until you’re crouching on the floor, food spilling onto red dust, and kids are scooping it up – because that’s all they’ll have. I’ve seen real hunger, and I can’t turn away”.
Every $6 means another month of meals for a refugee child… providing a chance for them to keep learning and dreaming!
