Artificial Intelligence (AI) – Public Statement
Feed The Hungry (FTH) understands that many people have concerns about the use of artificial intelligence. We share those concerns and approach AI with caution.
We do not rely on AI to replace people, relationships, or decision-making. Our work remains human-led, guided by our mission to serve those in need with integrity and care.
How we use AI (in limited ways)
· To assist staff with editing content such as updates, reports, and communications.
· To support internal analysis and improve operational efficiency.
· To edit media (such as photos, audio, or video) by removing distractions or improving clarity and framing.
All AI-assisted work is reviewed by our team before it is used.
What we do not use AI for
· We do not use AI to create false or misleading images, stories, or representations of people or situations.
· We do not allow AI to communicate with supporters or beneficiaries without human oversight.
· We do not use AI to make decisions about people, funding, or operations.
· We do not input sensitive personal or confidential information into AI tools.
Our commitment to you
· Transparency – We will be open about when AI has been used.
· Accuracy – All AI-assisted content is checked before publication.
· Privacy – Your personal information is protected and not shared with AI systems.
· Integrity – We will not use AI in ways that could mislead or undermine trust.
AI is a tool we use carefully and sparingly. It does not change who we are or how we serve.
