This is a little girl who exemplifies why we keep reaching out, opening new fields, adding more kids…

She was discovered by one of our community support groups. In Lesotho we operate through neighborhood groups of moms who are organized by churches to watch over the vulnerable children, orphans and child-headed households in their communities. The groups provide care and a safety net as well as preparing meals for the children in need.

This little girl, now 11 or 12, was an orphan discovered to be suffering abuse from her guardian. Our FTH Field Director, Pastor Nyasha Mabiza, intervened and she is now living in a children’s home where she is safe – and doing well!
