“Jahmir” was 16 years old. A fine young man who loved Jesus. So ISIS terrorists shot and killed him. Tears came to my eyes when I first heard Jahmir’s story. It hurts even worse to know that similar atrocities are taking place every day in Iraq and other areas of the Middle East that are under control of ISIS extremists. Our brothers and sisters in Christ are being tortured, raped, and slaughtered for their faith. And those surviving desperately need our help.
Over a million people have fled their homes—many after being given the ultimatum, “Convert to Islam or die.” They have lost everything because they refused to renounce Christ. Now, they are living in ill-equipped refugee camps in Kurdistan. Some in tents that offer little protection against rain and freezing temperatures. Others in unfinished buildings without windows, doors, or proper sanitation. They are hungry and lack blankets, clothing, and shelter to protect them from bitterly cold winter weather. Without our help, some won’t survive. Children and the elderly are especially at risk.
Thanks to generous supporters like you, Feed The Hungry is on the ground in Kurdistan, providing food and care for thousands of children and families. We’re praying with them, reminding them that God loves them and that they aren’t alone. But thousands more remain in desperate need. You can be the means through which God gives them the miracle they need.
Our goal is to provide 100 tons of emergency food, blankets, clothing, and other lifesaving relief. It will cost $70,000 to deliver these much-needed items to those who urgently need them. Please respond generously.
• Your gift of $70 today will provide a month of urgently needed staples like wheat, beans, flour, cooking oil, baby formula, blankets, and warm clothing for five refugee families.
• $175 provides a month of essentials for 13 families.

Any amount you give will help mend broken hearts and restore hope to those who have had their lives turned upside down by unimaginable brutality. The United Nations calls the current situation “the biggest humanitarian crisis of our era” and adds that “the world is failing to meet the needs of refugees.” We must respond now. I am spurred to action by these challenging words from the Book of James:
Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs what good is it? (James 2:16)

Although Kurdistan is a predominantly Muslim country, it is not a crime there for us to share our faith. Many are being drawn to Christ as they see His love, compassion, and power at work.
