Dear Friend,
There are so many in need throughout our country and our world. And at times, the task of feeding the hungry can seem overwhelming. But I want you to know that your support is making a real and significant impact in the lives of thousands of people at home and abroad.
From abandoned children in Romania who have received food, shelter, and education, to displaced families from the Colorado floods, your support is changing lives every day and taking hope to so many.
It has been particularly encouraging to see so many vulnerable children receive a well-rounded education through our work together. This is such an important step in seeing the cycle of poverty finally broken in these children’s lives, as they become equipped for employment or receive the skills needed to start their own small businesses.
One of the wonderful things about your support is that it enables Feed The Hungry to bring light into some very dark situations, as we not only provide for physical needs, but also share God’s love for them in Jesus. While life continues to be a struggle for many, God’s promise found in Revelation 7:17 provides eternal hope:
“For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
This is such a wonderful picture of the future, and it’s Gods promise for all who put their trust in Him! What a powerful comfort to share with those who have known so much hardship and pain.
In 2014, our goal is to feed 100,000 children every day, and a big part of making that happen is our Every Child Every Day program. I warmly encourage you to take a close look at the article on page 5 within the newsletter. I’m very excited about how many more children we can feed through this program, and I hope you will be too!
With your continued partnership, so many more will find hope in the midst of circumstances that seem hopeless and know the reality that a full life feels good. I give thanks for all we have been able to achieve together through Feed The Hungry and look forward to your ongoing support as we continue providing food, shelter, education, and eternal hope to those in need.
