Poverty: Romania is the largest country in Southeastern Europe, and is one of the poorest states in the European Union. Nearly half of the population lives in rural areas, but over 70% of those people live below the poverty line. Children from poor and rural areas are at high risk of being abandoned by their parents, causing the children to drop out of school. And without anywhere to live, they often end up on the streets.
Please pray:
- That Romanian children will receive a balanced education to help them find suitable employment in the future.
- That children living on the streets will find food and support through Feed The Hungry partner organizations like Bread of Life.
- For Romanian Christians as they seek to love and support those in their communities.
