Fear. Hopelessness. Loss. Anger. Despair.
This describes more than 93,000 refugees who have arrived in northern Uganda since December. They have fled their homes. Their jobs. Their schools. Everything they knew. Many have fled with only the clothes on their backs. Others lost family members and friends along the way. They have fled to escape. To live.
Hope. Joy. Freedom. Safety. Love.
Thanks to your generosity, we are now working in seven schools in this camp, feeding and educating close to 6,000 kids every day. The hearts of many of these children have been broken by war and violence. But because of you, they now know God dearly loves them and that He is a God who “raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap” (1 Samuel 2:8). They’re coming to see that a full life feels good!
