When Sarah fled war in South Sudan, she found safety in a Ugandan refugee settlement. But hunger still followed her.

Her father was injured and couldn’t work. Food was scarce. Every day became a struggle to survive, let alone learn.

Now, thanks to generous people like you, Sarah receives a hot meal every day at school. It’s helping her focus, stay in class, and dream of a better future.

“If I’m feeling hungry, I feel bad. I don’t concentrate,” Sarah says.
