Josefa is Grateful to YOU for a Full Life | Special Issue

Josefa’s mother was a drug addict and a prostitute in Nicaragua, and she abandoned Josefa when she was just a baby. Thankfully, Josefa’s grandmother reached out and chose to raise this precious child.

When Feed The Hungry started a feeding program in her community when she was 8 years old, Josefa received physical and spiritual food. For the first time, Josefa learned of God’s incredible love for her. She got her first Bible and then invited Jesus Christ into her heart! Josefa prayed forher mother’s salvation and that they could be reunited.

Josefa’s mother eventually returned and convinced Josefa to live with her; however, she soon tried to sell Josefa into a brothel. Josefa’s grandmother notified the authorities, and they rescued her just in time.

Today, 15-year-old Josefa shares her gratefulness by serving others. She ministers to those in the Feed The Hungry program, and she preaches God’s Word to 110 youth every Saturday night!

Thanks to friends like you, Feed The Hungry currently provides physical and spiritual nourishment to 38,000 children in our Every Child, Every Day program in over 300 different feeding sites in Nicaragua. But Nicaragua is highly prone to seismic and volcanic activity, hurricanes, severe storms,

earthquakes, and flooding throughout the year. So this fall we need to say YES to an additional 12,000 hungry boys and girls in these devastated areas. Thanks for all you’ve done to bring physical and spiritual nourishment to children like Josefa. With your help, we can work together to see that many more precious children will soon have a full life in Jesus!
