I wish you could meet Pastor Joseph.

For the last few years, this passionate and courageous man of God has spearheaded our work on the ground in Burkina Faso.

As you’ll read on page 2 of this Field Report, doors are open right now for our ministry in this struggling nation – and thanks to your support, we’re currently reaching thousands of the country’s hungriest kids.

One of our most vital feeding centres in Burkina Faso is run by Pastor Daniel. He’s 85 years old, and he is blind.

Around 70 vulnerable children live at Daniel’s children’s home – most of them orphans. “When a woman dies in childbirth, the common belief here is that the baby must be a witch,” explains Joseph. “Some of those babies are buried in the coffin with their mother. Those who are spared are often abandoned on the street.”

It’s into this dark and oppressive culture that you’re shining the light and love of Christ. And as our teams feed hungry children and tell them the Good News of Jesus, you’re truly changing lives!

The people of Burkina Faso are hungry for food and hungry for the Gospel. Feeding this hunger – through daily nutritious meals and through sharing the love of Christ – is at the very heart of our ministry in the 92 countries where we work today.
