Dear Friend,
I’m feeling two distinct emotions as I write this letter to you.
On the one hand, I’m deeply saddened by the loss and heartbreak many are experiencing at the hands of radical Islamic terror. Yet I’m also deeply encouraged, knowing what a crucial opportunity it is to step into these dark and needy places as the hands and feet of Jesus.
My thoughts are often with the multitude of displaced Iraqis who have fled their homes empty-handed in search of a place of safety. I’m touched by the way we have been able to stand in prayer and support with our Christian brothers and sisters, and show the tangible love of Christ to many Muslims too.
It’s through the generosity of friends like you that we have been able to take many meals, much-needed aid, and the message of hope in Christ to thousands in need in places like Kurdistan. And it’s through the generosity of friends like you that we’ll continue to bring this hope to many thousands more!
Yes, many opportunities to show God’s love to the needy are waiting to be stepped into. This includes increasing our Every Child Every Day feeding program from 100,000 to 125,000 children.
Through God’s grace and your support, we hope to feed many more children in the most poverty-stricken countries worldwide, and also begin feeding children in new locations with great needs. This increase sounds like a sizeable goal, but I know God has called us to this… and I’m confident many will respond to help us meet it!
Thank you, as ever, for your incredible support. It’s your prayers and gifts that enable Feed The Hungry to go into the dark and needy places and bring desperately needed physical and spiritual food to the hungriest. And I’m so grateful for your partnership.
