Real Hope in Uganda - Feed The Hungry

These two young women have inspiring stories!

Merselina (left) and Nyankor (right), both live in the Kiryandongo Refugee Camp, Uganda. Where Feed The Hungry provide daily meals to the students.

Merselina and her family fled their home in South Sudan in 2014 because rebels had come to her village and were killing people. She and her family ran in the night through the bush for 7 days to get to Uganda to safety. She watched her father be shot and killed because of war. Merselina wants to be a doctor and is grateful for the education and food she has that will prepare her for university.

Nyankor’s father works for the Sudanese government but brought her to Uganda for safety. He knew things were becoming too dangerous. He comes to the refugee camps to visit her when he can. Nyankor was just 5 years old when she was brought to Kampala and then later brought to Kiryandongo.
Nyankor wants to be a lawyer and is thankful for all Feed the Hungry has done for her and her school.
